I had the LP 'I Love Marijuana' for 50 years - since I. was 13 - not knowing what MJ was...I'm "wiser" now.

But then again, my single mum (dad died 1972) had all the old Dr. Hook & THe Medicine Show LPs (until 1977), and we saw them twice in Sweden and Copenhagen, Denmark. A Danish TV producer loved them, an they wereseveral times on Danish TV (we could watch Danish TV in the far south of Sweden). They were funny, and Shel Silverstein was a genius w/o a vocal voice, but with a sharp pen (ask Johnny Cash...well, maybe not). Have you "read" his 'The Missing Piece'? Glenn Quagmire of 'The Family Guy' said he learnt all he need to know from reading thatbook (it takes about ten minutes...). Shel lost his daughter early on, an had his share of darkness too. I have a CD with all his most famous songs. Recmmended, even if he can't sing.

Rest In Pot, David Peel!

/Jörg Ausfelt, Sweden
/Jörg, Swedenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12714386600800264575noreply@blogger.com
